Elegant French petit secretaire a abattant of the Napoleon III period, mid 19th century. It is black lacquered with frontal panels of amboyna veneers framed by fine inlays of brass, mother of pearl and exotic woods. It is also adorned by gilt brass decorations. The fall front interior is of bird's eye maple and the writing surfaces is covered with tooled original black leather. There is a white marble above and below it an drawer with 4 more below the fall front, all with original locks and key. All in excellent original condition.
