Important and rare gran bureau of French origin of the highest quality created with finely figured mahogany and oak interior. Unique system of double action piano top that once the fall front is lowered the upper part retreats inwards to reveal a greater writing surface and various drawers, at the same time unblocking the upper drawers; all this utilising one key! The large upper body is supported by 2 pedestals, each with 3 drawers, one of them having a hidden safe with its own key. There is a wide central drawer without a key. The writing surface lined with green tooled leather. The entire back of the bureau is also fully finished. There are keys for the pedestal drawers. Fully restored, it divides into 3 parts for ease of transport.
