Description

Fine Dutch mahogany bureau dating to the end of the 18th century with impressive and profuse fruitwood marquetry typical of the Dutch master artisans. The cylinder top opening to reveal a a sliding tooled leather lined sliding surface that opens outwards. The open top also reveals a complex and fine interior of concave and serpentine drawers and compartments as well as a sliding door of ebony and mahogany strips. 3 large drawers below having elaborate and original brass handles and escutcheons. Geometrical design skirt framed by asymmetricaly square supports.
