Description

Fine figured mahogany Secretaire a Abattant of Danish origin dating to the middle of the 19th century, exhibiting Louis Philippe influence. The fall front has interior weights and the writing surface slides outward and features a gold tooled leather center. The interior of the fall front features several small and one large drawer with mother of pearl center knobs and a central cabinet flanked by barley twist columns. Four exterior access drawers, the upper one with a moulded front and 3 larger capacity ones below, all with original locks and key. The front support finely turned, the rear of block shape. Totally original and fully restored.
