Exceptional figured mahogany bureau dating to the Luis Philippe period, mid 19th century. The writing surface opens with piano-top action liberating the upper 3 drawers and revealing an ample writing space in black lacquer with 3 additional drawers and leather lined writing surface with custom made writing pad in leather. Below the writing area there are 3 additional lower drawers one of them having a safe box with its own key. The 4 supports are finely turned and expertly reeded and channeled ending in ball feet. All the locks are original with keys. The bureau is in original professionally restored condition.
