Important dining table in the finest figured mahogany bearing the Gillow stamp on the inside rails along with the number 8657, It may be extended up to 3 meters utilizing 3 original extension leaves all skirted, a feature of only few of the Gillow tables. The legs are finely turned and tapering legs are also fluted ending in brass castors stamped Cope & Colinson. It is a pull-out table and has all of its 8 original brass fastening clips, 6 of them in their holsters on the inside of the rails. Gillows of Lancaster and London were elite cabinetmakers with brilliant and long history, as published in 2 volumes shown in our last photo.
