A 19th century Biedermeier mahogany and gilt metal mounted work table, the hinged rectangular top with a mirrored under side opening to reveal a fitted interior, above a blind frieze drawer with fitted interior, on lyre end supports with shaped trestle ends terminating in gilt metal paw feet. This is the prettiest and most sought after of work tables of the Biedermeier style; the few that exist are already in Museums.
