Impressive Scandinavian parcel gilt sofa dating to the middle of 19th century, possibly of Swedish origin. The main body of the sofa is painted of light celadon color and the carvings are gilt highlighted. The serpentine back has an elaborately carved and gilt crown type of decoration in the center and the supports are of round shape with gilt carvings. The upholstery is recent and in excelent condition.
