Fine Baroque 18th century figured walnut German bureau of small dimensions and of intricate serpentine shape, parquetry fronted with original gilt brass pulls and matching escutcheons. The fall front writing surface also of figured walnut, once open it reveals an open compartment and 9 small drawers whose knobs are replacements imitating the originals, as some of those were missing. Below the fall front, 3 large serpentine shaped drawers. All locks and keys are original. The base and feet and skirt of intricated design. Expertly repolished.
