Biedermeier Danish Tallboy Commode - SOLD

Description

Attractive flame mahogany Danish Biedermeier tallboy commode dating to the second quarter of the 19th century. It is of the "semainier" type for having 7 drawers, presumably one for each day of the week(semaine) the one at the top with moulded front. All the drawers of oak interior with mother-of-pearl escutcheons, original locks and key. The frontal feet carved of curving spiral form, the rear of block type. Professionally restored and ready to enjoy.
