Description

Outstanding High Commode Biedermeier of Danish origin with 7 drawers, dating to the middle of the 19th century with impressive figured walnut with rosewood bands and ebony line inlay. The "pagoda" top and sides with equally impressive walnut figures. The commode divides into two bodies. The drawers with gilt bronze escutcheons and original locks and key. Two finely turned frontal feet and block feet at the rear. Exceptional original condition exterior and interior. Lightly refreshed with hand applied French polish.
