Antique English Commode William IV - SOLD

Description

Fine and unusual mahogany chest of drawers dating to the William IV period of England (1830-1838) with rare angled and moulded pillars decorated with satinwood panels with ebony trim and moulded line inlaid walnut. The straight front features a satinwood drawer at the top with ebony trim. Below 2 over 3 large drawers with bone rhomboidal escutcheon/keyholes and brass ring pulls. The well turned legs are adorned with decorative part ring mouldings above them. Original locks and keys and in lovingly restored condition inside and out.
