Fine George III bowfronted Chest on Chest in flame mahogany with great proportions in the Hepplewhite manner with outsplayed front and rear legs. The front legs joined by a gracefully bowed skirt. The upper drawer configuration is 2 small over 3 and the lower of 3 large drawers.The important pediment is of ebonized Cuban mahogany with complex dentil and lancet mouldings with double reverse arches flanked by reeded small pillars and an elaborate carved center design. The brass round pulls elegantly and discreetly accentuate the overall shape of this spectacular piece. The side walls of the entire piece are solid mahogany. The interior of the drawers is made of camphorwood and cedar.
