Outstanding and rare pair* of period Biedermeier bookcases/display cabinets created out of finely figured and burl north European walnut. There are 2 main slightly bow fronted columns terminating below in block feet of the same shape resting on black lacquered pads. Flanked by the bow fronted columns, each vitrine has a door partially astragal glazed with ebonized decorative shapes.

* There is slight difference in the figure of the walnut of each bookcase.

* *Pairs of period Biedermeier bookcases/display cases are extremely difficult to find, especially in this condition. We happen to have 2 of the few pairs in existence.
