Fine Biedermeier bookcase of Vienese origin and of unique design. The exterior with the finest Cuban mahogany forming precious figures of feathers, crotch on cathedrals, not only at the front but also on the sides, on the Schinkel pediment and on every moulding large or small-work of master cabinetmaker. The 2 doors with 3 original glass panels each bearing large perfect circles, possibly using sycamore and oak fused into some type of unusual lamination. A large drawer at the lowest part with 2 ring pulls. All gilt brass hardware original and of the period, as is the lock and key. The supports are constructed as part of the entire base, a quite unusual feature. The 4 interior shelves are veneered at the front in harmony with the figure of the mahogany exterior.
