Spectacular tea table / console table of the high period of the Biedermeier style of southern/central German origin, probably the district of Mainz, with finely figured Jamaican mahogany. The upper section with both leaves of serpentine form, rotating 90º like a book to reveal more interior surfaces of fine mahogany. The pedestal of complex lyre form over 4 legged moulded base.
