Fine and rare end of 18th century period French Directoire petite vitrine with exquisite herringbone kingwood veneers with line inlays, adorned by gilt bronze mouldings throughout. The top with characteristic white marble is surrounded by a brass gallery. The glasses on all three sides seem to be the original handmade type. The interior has three mahogany shelves that have double brass line inlay on all three sides. They are four finely turned and brass clad supports ending in brass ball feet. In amazingly original untouched condition for an end of 18th century piece.
