Biedermeier Cherry Display Cabinet - SOLD

Description

Fine Biedermeier light cherrywood display cabinet of outstanding quality with complex pediment top in the style of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, with upwards tapering frontal Doric columns at each frontal corner supported below by S-shaped moulded bases over block supports. The columns flank a 3 glass pane door and below a S-shaped fronted drawer. There are also 3 panes of glass on each side. All glass panes are hand-blown original. There is fine line inlay throughout the entire piece and the interior is also finished with the same quality cherrywood as the exterior, including the door and 2 shelves. The 3-pane design is repeated at the back of the interior with black lacquered panels. This display case arrived in amazingly original condition including its original locks and keys. It only needed light refreshment.
