Outstanding Danish Biedermeier commode of finely figured cherrywood veneers bearing stamp and signed label of its cabinetmaker dated "November 1837"(see photo). Four drawers each of different form and size with 4 original keys, locks and escutcheons. The upper drawer of serpentine front below a Schinkel pediment (after the famous Prussian architect ). The 2 frontal curved side columns end in finely carved paws reminiscent of the Empire style. All in excellent original condition refreshed with French polish.
