Pair of Biedermeier Bookcases / Display Cabinets - 1830 - SOLD

Description

Outstanding and rare pair of period Biedermeier* bookcases/display cabinets created out of finely figured blond north European walnut. There are 3 main slightly bow fronted columns, two of them terminating below in block feet of the same shape. Flanked by the bow fronted columns, each vitrine has 2 doors partially astragal glazed with burr walnut and ebonized decorative shapes.

The interiors in impecable condition upholstered in off-white fabric including each of the 3 shelves. There are pleated satin curtains behind each glass which are removable if the client desires.

Both bookcases in exceptional original condition with minimal age marks.

** Pairs of period Biedermeier bookcases/display cases are extremely difficult to find, especially in this condition.
