Antique modular bookcase Globe Wernicke type, bearing label of the Grand Rapids Michigan USA company GUNN. Dating from around 1900. Five modules, four with rhomboidal glass leaded doors and one module with two door cabinet enclosing removable shelf. The base oversails having mouldings and the decorative top with floral carvings. The modules use the original cast iron rails and the doors sink into the modules using miniature roller bearings sliding over iron rails.

In our opinion these original systems were the best. Subsequently these systems became more complicated and ...cheaper.
